McCain Picks Sarah Palin for VP

In a surprise move, Sen. John McCain picked Ms. Sarah Palin for his Vice Presidential candidate, passing over Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty. Ms. Palin looks to be a play to try to win over former Hillary Clinton supporters, however she is very socially conservative, and opposes abortions even in the case of rape. She has only been Governor of Alaska for approximately 2 years. It remains to be seen if selecting an inexperienced candidate will hurt John McCain.
