Today's DNC convention provided some sharper contrast with the Republicans, including speaches by Ed Rendell, Sen Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Mark Warner and former Governor Mark Warner (VA). For the most part the press focused on 1) whether Hillary supporters will support Obama and 2) Why don't the Democrats attack Republicans mnore. The McCain campaign has decided that attack ads are the way to go, and has featured several ads featuring Hillary attacking Obama on video. McCain is essentially using Hillary to try to get votes. Her speach was excellent, striking the appropriate balance of contrasting Obama with McCain and endorsing Obama.
No significant changes polls today, with Obama clinging to a narrow 3 point lead in the electoral vote count.
